Let’s take a closer look at the numbers to 20 activities included in the Numbers 1-100 Digital Spinner Activities bundle.
Build a Teen Number
Once students master counting to 10, they need to understand counting to 20. Learning to count past 10 can be challenging for some students. Using this activity, students will build their own teen numbers using the digital spinner and ten frames. This will visually demonstrate how teen numbers are constructed and help them in building number sense knowledge for numbers to 20.

Numbers to 20 with Ten Frames
Moving on from the activity ‘Build a Teen Number’, in Numbers to 20 with Ten Frames students represent numbers to 20 using a ten frame. This requires them to count sequentially up to the number that they spin on the digital spinner.

Race to 20
After students start mastering counting to 20, they can practice further with this Race to 20 game. Students spin the +1 / +2 digital spinner and coloring the matching number of numerals. As students color the numerals, they count forward until they get to 20.

Tens and Ones to 20
Being able to decompose numbers to 20 is an essential kindergarten concept that will help develop a student’s understanding of place value. In the Tens and Ones to 20 math activity, students spin the digital spinner and compose the teen numbers.

Spin and Color Base Ten Blocks
In the Spin and Color Base Ten Blocks activity, students spin a number to 20 and identify the matching tens and ones represented by the base ten blocks. On the left-hand side of the worksheet, students write the matching numeral.

Number Comparison to 20 with Ten Frames
Once students understand quantities, they can start using terms and symbols to represent “greater than”, “less than”, and “equal to.” This activity provides a visual approach using ten frames for students to show the quantity before they compare the two numbers.

Number Comparison to 20 with Number Line
Similarly, this Number Comparison to 20 activity uses a number line to support students in comparing two numbers.

Spin and Color 1 More
In this activity students spin a number and color the number + 1 more. On the right hand-side of the worksheet they show their work as they play the game.

Spin and Color 1 Less
Like Spin and Color 1 More, in Spin and Color 1 Less, students spin a number and color the number -1. On the right-hand side of the worksheet, students record their work as they play the game.

One more One Less
In this activity, students explore the concept of 1 more and 1 less with the support of a number line.

Counting On
Counting forward from a number other than one is an important counting skill for students to master. It is the foundation of being able to learn to add. In this activity, students spin a number and count on writing the numbers. A number line is provided to support students.

Counting Backward
Counting backward from a number is an important counting skill for students to master. It is the foundation of being able to subtract. In this activity, students spin a number and count backward writing the numbers. A number line is provided to support students.

Doubles Facts to 20
Doubles Facts are additions in which a number is added to itself. These math facts help students improve their mental math skills so they can quickly solve other addition facts. Students spin a number on the digital spinner, double it and color the result. On the right-hand side of the worksheet, students record their learning by solving the doubles facts.

Number Bonds of 20
Number bonds are a visual method for decomposing numbers. In this activity, students decompose the number 20 by spinning a number on the digital spinner, writing it in one of the number bond circles, and finding the missing number to complete the number bond.

Number Bonds to 20
Number Bonds within 20 will have students work on decomposing various numbers. After spinning the two digital spinners, students will construct a number bond by using the two numbers and finding the missing addend.

Addition to 20 with a Number Line
The number line is another visual method that students can use when learning addition and subtraction concepts and before moving on to numeric only addition and subtraction. Students spin the double digital spinners and complete the addition problem with the help of the number line.

Subtraction from 20 with Ten Frames
In this subtraction activity, students spin a number and subtract it from 20. Students cross out the matching number of circles on the ten frames to visually show each subtraction fact.

Subtraction from 20 with a Number Line
In this activity, students spin a number and subtract it from 20. They can use the number line to hop backwards to solve the subtraction fact.

Spin a Fact Family
Fact Families are a method for teaching students about how addition and subtraction are related to each other. Like number bonds, the three numbers create addition and subtraction facts. By learning this method, students are able to master their addition and subtraction facts faster.
Students spin the digital spinner and use the three numbers to create the addition and subtraction fact family.

Number Words 11-20
With this activity, students not only practice reading number words, they also get to practice writing the number words. A word bank is provided to support students in writing the number words.

Rounding to Nearest 10
Rounding builds a student’s number sense. To help students identify whether to round up or round down, a number line with arrows is provided to show what happens based on the value of the number in the ones place.

Lot’s more math activities are included in the Numbers 1-100 Digital Spinner Math Activities Bundle.
