Back to School Measurement Math Center
Starting a new school year doesn’t have to be stressful. To help you prepare for the coming year, I have created this FREE Back to School Measurement Math Center. This activity focuses on non standard measurement and is quick to prepare and fun for students to do!
The FREE Back to School Measurement Math Center is a fun way to introduce or reinforce non standard measurement. There are 8 measurement cards included along with a worksheet for student’s to record their answers. The measurement cards, which contain a variety of school related images, provide students with opportunities to measure both the height and length of these objects using a base ten block. Also, the measurement cards come in two versions: colored background and plain background to save ink.
To prepare the back to school measurement math center, you need to:
- Print the measurement cards on card stock.
- Cut the measurement cards out. You can choose to laminate the cards for extra durability.
- Print the worksheets for students to record their answers.
This math activity works well in math centers and small guided math groups.
