Back to School Vocabulary Booklet
The first week of school for Kindergarten students is fast approaching! It’s important to remember that many of these kindergarten students have never been in a school setting. This FREE Back to School Vocabulary booklet is an ideal way to introduce your students to common school items that they will be using on a daily basis. At the same time, as the children put together their Book of Back to School Words, they will practice cutting, tracing, copying, and coloring pictures.
The Back to School Book of Words activity contains 11 pages of school items and a cute front cover. Each page contains a word to trace, letter boxes for copying the words, and a picture to color.
This is an ideal activity for literacy centres, small group work, and morning work. In addition to helping children write, this booklet can be used for teaching children to use the illustrations as clues to read the words. This makes it a great beginning to read activity and will boost the confidence of your kindergarten students!
